Never clean your home with chemicals again! Activeion Review

I was browsing the internet one day and stumbled upon an article about a new product that cleans with water. At first, I thought it was steam (I was wrong.), but what made me take a good look was the size of the product. It looked like a standard cleaning bottle. It didn’t look like some heavy appliance that I would have to lug around. I had to know more about it, how it worked, and why.
I started reading about the Ionator HOM. The first thing I wanted to know what how it worked. It sounded too good to be true that plain old tap water, without a lot of heat, was going to effectively clean and sanitize.

What I read made some sense, but I kept looking πŸ™‚ I noticed Bill Nye’s face down at the bottom of the page and clicked πŸ™‚

So before I go any further, I would like you to watch this entertaining and informative video by one of my childhood heroes (I *loved* him!), Bill Nye πŸ™‚

After seeing this video, I not only better understood the technology, but I really, really had to try it. The thought of not having to use anything other than perfectly clean water to clean my house became so appealing.

If you would like a little more information on the cleaning and sanitizing abilities of the Ionator, please check out these other great links.

EPA Certified Lab Results

When used as directed, the Activeion Pro removes more than 99.9 percent of the bacteria listed below from non-poroushard surfaces. This includes 2009 H1N1! (PDF Press release on that!)
How Does It Work?

A water cell applies a slight electrical charge to the tap water. The charged water passes through an ion exchange membrane, creating an oxygen-rich mixture of positive and negative nano-bubbles. The activated water now attracts dirt like a magnet and lifts it from the surface, enabling it to be easily wiped away.

Let’s talk about the Ionator HOM in action πŸ™‚

The first thing I did when it arrived was charge it up and then test it out! I couldn’t wait. Yes, it charges! No batteries to replace, simply plug and go. I have had this for about a month and have only charged it twice.

The first thing I used this on was my counters. I sprayed it on like I would have with any cleaner. I liked how it worked. It didn’t seem like it require any more effort than usual and I was pleased with the result. My counter tops are dark though, so I glanced around for a challenge. Something I could really see the results with.

I soon spotted my filthy glass patio door. My husband comes home through these doors and my children know this. They spend much of their time going to the door, touching it, kissing it, licking it, you name it! This poor door was covered in greasy finger prints, cracker kisses and who knows what else.

I grabbed my towel and sprayed the door down as usual. I wiped and swirled and then did the same to the outside of the door. This is what impressed me and got me hooked on the Ionator HOM. I am so pleased with it.

(Please click on it to see it larger!)
What really impressed me was not just that it worked, but that it didn’t require any extra exertion. Also, for glass and like things, it didn’t leave streaks, and that’s without any harsh chemicals to prevent them πŸ™‚

I also did my stove top. I purposely left it overnight to let the food left over to try on. Sorry about the light reflections. I tried πŸ™‚

(Please click on it to see it larger!)

I have found the Ionator HOM to be very effective and easy to use. As with any cleaner, if there is something stubborn, I spray, let it sit and then give it a little extra scrub. Even if it did require a little extra elbow grease, I would consider this a great cleaning product.

I have three children and they are around me at all times. I can safely clean around them with the Ionator HOM. I’ve been using homemade cleaners for some time, but they still aren’t things that I want to spray directly around my children. I don’t have to worry about that at all with this.

Here is a cute little bonus πŸ™‚

This is on the Activeion website, but it is so adorable. I wanted to share it here too πŸ™‚ I use to have a chinchilla. They are so sweet!

“So, where did our life-changing technology come from? One sensitive little chinchilla, named Chili.

Hi Chili!

When the inventor of our technology bought Chili as a pet for his family, he learned quickly β€” many home cleaning products are deadly to the little fellows. So, he set out to invent a way to clean the chinchilla’s cage β€” without harmful chemicals. Chili’s owner looked at the big, technologically advanced cleaners and sanitizers often used in food-processing plants and costing thousands of dollars. He found a way to miniaturize the technology to fit into a portable, and affordable, handheld appliance. And he ended up with a revolutionary product for the good of all.

Enter Activeion Cleaning Solutions, and Activeionβ„’ Pro, ionator EXPβ„’ and ionator HOMβ„’.

Made in the U.S.A.

Today, our products are built right in Minnesota, and are used every day around the world to guard students in schools, patients in hospitals, guests in restaurants from harmful bacteria. And now we can all clean most homes, schools, and businesses with simple ionized water. Just think: One day soon we will wonder why we ever used chemicals to clean. Thanks to Activeion. And that sweet little chinchilla.”

I have had the pleasure of talking to and working with Activeion and they would like to give you the opportunity to see what I have seen and enjoy this great product.

I would be so excited to have something that would clean without chemicals! I would have to worry about my baby and cats, but would be able to keep things clean for my husband's allergies. I work in the environmental field trying to keep wastewater from polluting our waterways, and I would love to do my part to prevent chemicals from getting into the system from my house (and if I love it, share this find with those I work with)!

We already do a great job at cleaning without chemicals. I make most of our household cleaners with vinegar and baking soda. Having this would cut down on the time that it takes to make my cleaners every month.

"Live Green"! We travel for my husbands job and live in hotels mostly. This was fine until 6 months ago when we had our first child and now have to consider all the stuff he gets. Now the ways that the hotels "wash" things is a HUGE concern…especially since 95% of our travel is overseas. I have been looking for something thats not liquid (for flying reasons) but not huge (for packing reasons). I would LOVE to try this out, it sound perfect for us! angela dot m dot small at gmail dot com

I would love to live without chemical cleaners (I make my own instead, usually). My daughter has asthma so we really try to keep her exposure to chemical triggers to a minimum. The Ionator HOM would be fabulous to have in our household! Thanks

Never having to use chemicals would mean a healthier family. I don't use chemicals to clean, but my husband will, so it's a constant struggle. If I win the ActiveIon, I will be able to put that struggle to rest as he reads about it and starts to see results. It would also be great to have to spread awareness among my neighbors, friends and some future cleaning person (I have yet to hire one someday!) Thanks! Live Green!

Our first baby is due in just a few weeks and it would be wonderful from the very beginning of her life to not be exposed to harsh chemicals, at least here at home. If so many chemicals are toxic to chinchillas imagine how a newborn baby must feel–so new and sensitive to all smells. Most chemicals are so harsh they burn adult noses. I also run a daycare our of my home and this would help my family and the families of all the children in my care. What a wonderful product.

We do our best to live green…but this would help even more. We have a little ferret and a little boy so we are always making sure to get products or make products that won't harm either one.

I try to LIVE as GREEN as possible. I switched to vinegar based cleaners about a year ago. However, my birds still react to the fumes. Using this product would certainly help their reactions.

I try so hard to live green but DH dislikes the smell that green cleaners leave. This would allow me to continue cleaning green but without the vinegar smell that most green cleaners have.

Not having to use any chemicals would be great. RIght now I make our own cleaners and buy some commerical ones but I've noticed I'm more sensitive to commerical ones since cutting them out. It would great to be able to use something that not only cleans great but one thing for everything rather different sprays for different things. Live Green!

to not use chemicals again would mean soo much. I worry so much about using things around my son, and the new baby that I'm carrying. Even if I use borax and vinegar and such, there can still be residue and I still worry about it.

I have been making many choices as we thrive to "Live Green" and cleaning products are always hard to give up! I always hate the thought of cleaning my baby's high chair tray with harmful chemicals because he usually eats directly off it, and yet I want to be sure it is sanitized- what a great product to use for such tasks! All around the house! I am completely in love with the idea!

I use a vinegar homemade cleaner now and my husband hates the smell of it. But we still use it because it's cost effective and I don't like the use of chemicals. This is very important, especially with a baby on the way! I would love to have one of these!

Oh my god, that is the coolest thing I have ever seen! I avoid cleaning like the plauge – partly b/c I hate it and partly b/c the smells of cleaners, even the green ones, make me want to yak in my current 1st tri state. This device would allow me to clean with no smell and clean around the cats without worrying about them licking something up. Talk about Live Green!

Also, that chinchilla is the cutest little guy!

I would love to be able to clean without chemicals. i always worry that my son will get into the cleaning supplies (although i keep them all in a high cabinet). i also worry about residual chemicals and fumes that are left by cleaning.

I have switched to earth friendly cleaning products, but this products sounds wonderful. I had a handheld steamer for a while, but found it cumbersome with the cord.

would love to be able to LIVE GREENer.

It would mean that I could breathe easy with a new baby in the house. I use all eco friendly cleaning products already but I would feel even more safe to know that I was cleaning with the something I would never have to worry about being toxic in any capacity. It would certainly help me to "Live Green."

Not only would this help me to Live Green, but I am asthmatic and chemical cleaners are a huge No No for me. Chemical cleaners always trigger wheezing, with the Ionator HOM I wouldn't have to worry about that anymore!!
