Brighten Your Day With An Eco-Friendly Shower Curtain!

Shower curtains – at least he waterproof types – aren’t generally considered all that “green”, they are some sort of plastic after all and they smell awful and are usually some icky drab color like tan, white or murky clear-ish. They certainly aren’t blog post worthy – unless of course you found a body in one or something completely wack-o that the world simply must read about.

When I was contacted about “eco-friendly” curtains from a company called Rock Candy Life I was a little skeptical. I mean really? A “green” shower curtain? But then I thought “Well, we all shower – I’ll give it try!”

As soon my package arrived I knew this product was different. For starters the curtains are beautiful. I love the bold patterns and really wish there were more for you all to choose from! I am a huge fan of cheerful bathrooms because it’s where you start you day and they should be strong and uplifting. As soon as I unpackaged my curtain I noticed one huge difference over others before it – it didn’t stink. In fact, it had basically no scent at all. I love that! Toxic crap generally smells awful – n0t that organic matter can’t, but it’s different and I’m sure you know what I mean. The fact that this product wasn’t letting off obvious noxious gasses was fantastic and I was rather surprised.

According to Rock Candy Life their curtains are made from PEVA, a safer alternative to vinyl, which is free from PVC & chlorine. They are printed with soy-based inks and are 100% recyclable and biodegradable. To add to the excitement (and rush your buying decision a smidge) all of their patterns are limited edition, so get them while you can because when they sell out, they are gone for good. There are currently two hot prints available (Royal Luxe & Moroccan Luxe) and more on the way!

I have been using this curtain for months now and it still looks great. It’s easy to wipe down and has no signs of mildew or wear.

You can find out more about Rock Candy Life on their website, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest!

I love the one that you got and the prints are so fun. I know what you mean about stinky awful almost like you want to throw up kind of stink. I hate it. Sometimes I just let it sit outside for a bit until the stinks or almost of the stink is gone. That is so nice to know there is something Green in shower curtains. So wonderful! And let’s talk about the cute one in the photo. Adorable! And she is so grown up. 🙂
