I started exploring cloth diapers more than four years ago now, and among my first stash of diapers were some simple, white Thirsties covers. They were reliable favorites then, and they still are today – though the styles have changed a bit and now include the Duo Wrap – a multi-size cloth diaper cover that grows with baby.

Thirsties has taken great care to build products, a brand, and a community that cloth diaper users can be proud to be a part of and support. They recently released this sneak peek into their company that I just love. I hope you enjoy it, and be sure to continue reading below for some extra fun!!

The great people at Thirsties are always working to make your lives easier, and in that light they have introduced a couple of great new tools!

The Savings Calculator

Complete with suggested packages to help newbies get started, this calculator can help users view their potential savings when choosing cloth! If you are a bit more familiar with cloth, try their option that allows you to enter more detail about the number of diapers you need or have.

Cloth Diaper 101

Designed to help simplify the decision to cloth diaper, this guide explores the basics of cloth diapering as well as questions and answers that a caregiver might be looking for when researching their diapering options. You can even download this as PDF to share with friends, family or to convince a teetering partner.

They also have an all new catalog, so check it out! (You can download a PDF)

**Warning** Adorable fluff may cause swooning.

To celebrate all of the great new things from Thirsties, they have allowed me to pick out a package to give away. I know that you will love their products as much as I do! Enter below and be sure to give them some love on the Thirsties Facebook page – they deserve it! 🙂

I have received no compensation or product for this post. I love Thirsties and am excited to be sharing their great new resources – and a fun giveaway – with you. This one is for you, thanks for being a reader!

(This giveaway is over – big thanks to Thirsties!)

Ryan March 6, 2013 at 2:57 pm

About to be a new mom and the world of cloth diapering is a bit overwhelming! I really want to try cloth diapering from the beginning of our parenting adventures. The start up costs are also an issue for us. Where is the best place to start?? Are there any easy to register for starter kits?

Rumsita March 6, 2013 at 3:06 pm

You could do a trial pack…there are several online retailers (and possibly local ones depending on where you are) who will allow you to try a number of diapers for a set amount of time & then you generally keep what you like, return what you don’t, and either get a refund on the returned ones or use it as store credit (depending on the program) to get more of what you like! I have even heard of one site that does newborn diaper rental. If you have a local retailer, they might also have a free class.

Often companies do give a slight discount for purchasing higher quantities of diapers at one time. The cloth diapering world is so much more extensive than most people realize!

Delacey March 6, 2013 at 10:55 pm

Some companies also have a starter kit at a discounted price. They usually include a couple of diapers, as well as some other things (eg wet bag, cloth wipes etc). Keep in mind that the one size fits all will be quite bulky on a newborn with 12 lbs being the average weight when OS will start fitting. You can also look online at used options, some have barely been used or never used. Hope that helps you!

Rumsita March 6, 2013 at 2:57 pm

I LOVE the Fab Wipes! And I love that they are local in Colorado. If I ever get laid off my current job, I would love to work for a CD mfr or retailer, and there are several great options here!

shelly m March 6, 2013 at 2:59 pm

Love that I only need two sizes with duo wraps!

Kelly March 6, 2013 at 3:00 pm

Love saving money, and the environment!

ginger g. March 6, 2013 at 3:12 pm

love their prints!

Anina Duren March 6, 2013 at 3:14 pm

I have been making my own covers for a while, but still would love the argyle ones or the owl ones!

Rikky March 6, 2013 at 3:16 pm

I love that Thirsties just “fit” my chunky thigh girl perfectly! I’ve used Thirsties since she was one hour old!

Laura March 6, 2013 at 3:16 pm

I really like their new savings calculator. Very helpful!

Laura B. March 6, 2013 at 3:29 pm

I love Thirsties. I’m a doula and contacted them about a year ago to see if they did free samples. Even though I didn’t cloth diaper, I knew that families I served might be interested. They were the only retailer out of the number I contacted who sent a big box of samples and catalogs. I liked what I saw so much that I decided to start cloth diapering my then 14 month old! I used quite a few Thirsties products. Now I have a newborn and am cloth diapering him too. I am impressed with Thirsties products and their company. Unfortunately my daughter has a sensitivity to microfiber, but the prefolds are amazing! We love our Thirsties prefolds and covers!

Liv March 6, 2013 at 3:33 pm

great fit and adorable prints! also because they’re made in the usa!

Jessica D. March 6, 2013 at 3:33 pm

I just recently purchased two Thirsties Fab Fitteds to use on my 2 1/2 yr. old for cloth diapering at night-SUCCESS!! : ) Love them! They are so nice and sooooo soft, and reliable. I got them on sale too as a bonus! I’m getting two NB covers as well for future #2, I’m exicted to try them out in the near future. : )

Jessica D. March 6, 2013 at 3:34 pm

Oh and that Thirsties video was too cute!!

Melissa March 6, 2013 at 3:35 pm

Love Thirsties and so does my LO!!!

Mande Cauley March 6, 2013 at 3:36 pm

I am new to cloth diapering and I am expecting in mid-May. Thirsties is the cloth diaper I seem to like the most so far. I would love to win the give away!!

Mandi McGonagle March 6, 2013 at 3:39 pm

I love that they are so much cuter than paper diapers and don’t give my kids rashes the way the chemicals in disposables do.

Ginger March 6, 2013 at 3:43 pm

I love that I’m not throwing money in the trash every time I change a diaper!

Lisa Fox March 6, 2013 at 3:44 pm

Thirsties were among the first diapers that I tried (duo wrap). I liked that I wouldn’t need to purchase multiple sizes…only 2. And in the beginning, the size 1’s fit my daughter much better than the other OS diapers that I had…and I could use them a bit longer than the other newborn size diapers that I had. Probably my favorite thing about cloth diapers are the many adorable prints that are available. That’s also the biggest problem!

Megan March 6, 2013 at 3:59 pm

I love that Thirsties covers over prefolds hold even the most sneaky leaks like newborn breastfed poo 🙂

Laurie Snow March 6, 2013 at 4:03 pm

I love that they are a family owned company in the USA and that they make the best diaper covers!!!

laura j March 6, 2013 at 4:52 pm

I love that I never have to buy diapers again…unless theres a new cute pattern

Rebekah March 6, 2013 at 4:56 pm

I love all the cute prints and never having to run to the store because I am out of diapers or wipes.

Carrie C March 6, 2013 at 4:56 pm

I love that Thirsties has two sizes so you can get a better fit for your baby. I also like the double gussets on the wraps!

Cassandra March 6, 2013 at 5:11 pm

I LOVE Thirsties! They’re a local company and have been so helpful and kind. I love the duos – they fit better than OS. I also love that they come with dual inserts (microfiber and hemp). They’re my favorite CD.

michelle March 6, 2013 at 6:40 pm

always love Thirsties!!! have used them since day 1 of cloth diapering 3 years ago

Heather Klintworth March 6, 2013 at 7:03 pm

Casey B. March 6, 2013 at 7:06 pm

I love the fact that it’s eco-friendly!!!

Jaymesue March 6, 2013 at 7:24 pm

I have a picture of me as a child in my cloth diaper with huge safety pins and some plastic wrap as a cover. I’m overly grateful for this great company who truly cares for our children, families and the environment to make such great products. When my little one comes into this world, he/she will be raised on the same values wearing Thirsties:)

Lesley March 6, 2013 at 8:17 pm

I love that it helped my little one to potty train earlier because she was aware of when she was wet. I also love that she didn’t get irritations and rashes from cloth diapers like when we would use disposables.

Joelle March 6, 2013 at 8:34 pm

I love the prints CDs come in, both my boys enjoyed picking out their diapers.

Claiborne March 6, 2013 at 9:43 pm

They are really absorbent!

Laura G. March 6, 2013 at 9:48 pm

I love the simplicity and easy washing of covers!

The new Thirsties website is great!

Eco Friendly Beauty Products March 7, 2013 at 2:19 am

Organic food and skin care is very much liked by users as they are naturally made and have less chance of getting any reactions. For small children organic food is very essential.

Alex Liz Robinson March 7, 2013 at 8:08 am

I that you are saving money! They are so much cuter too!

Geri Fink March 7, 2013 at 8:56 am

Such an easy comment and I could go on and on forever about how much we love cloth diaper ~ their little butts being so adorable, the money savings, the environmental impact. I also TRY to use cloth diapers that are made in America and Thirsties is helping me achieve that goal!

Trisha W. March 8, 2013 at 11:44 am

I like that they are made in the USA.

Valerie S March 8, 2013 at 12:02 pm

I love the they’re rated as working so well! I want to use Duo Wraps with fitteds for the newborn stages, since I hear the extra leg gussets are the best for the skinny leg stage!

Jamie Johnson March 8, 2013 at 2:52 pm

I love my Thirsties wraps. They keep the yuckies in without leaving those nasty red marks on chunky baby thighs 🙂

I just got two duo wraps with some regular prefolds… wearing them today… I want more!!!

Janine Fowler March 11, 2013 at 7:02 am

I love cloth diapering because I don’t have to worry about tacky disposable diapers showing in all of our baby photos! (And for other reasons, but that’s a big one too!)

patricia b March 11, 2013 at 9:29 am

I love cloth diapering because my son has very sensative rash prone skin and cloth diapers definitely keep the rashes to a minimum.

Jessica O March 11, 2013 at 10:58 am

I love how Thirsties fit on my little girl and they absorb so much, they are our go-to night time diapers!

Danielle March 11, 2013 at 3:08 pm

Nicole Gutermann March 16, 2013 at 9:37 pm
