My thoughtful husband bought me a beautiful fruit arrangement for Valentine’s Day. It came loaded with strawberries, grapes, melons, pineapple and kale. Okay so the kale is meant for decoration but it’s jam packed full of nutrients, so I couldn’t stand to see it go to waste! I’ve heard lots of people talk about how much they love kale chips, so I thought I’d try my hand at it and oh boy I am so happy that I did. They are delicious!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Organic Kale
- Salt
- Olive Oil
- A Rack – An oven safe drying rack works beautifully, but a cookie sheet will do too.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Wash and pat dry your kale. Tear into bite sized pieces and toss with olive oil and salt. Feel free to get creative and try other seasonings too!
Bake on rack until the edges of the chips are browned. Set your timer to 5 minutes and go from there.
Enjoy!
These look so good! We are always looking for ways to eat kale…definitely going to try this – thanks!
Wow, I never thought it would be that easy! Thanks for the tip.
Yes, the recipe is great, and thanks for sharing, but I might I just say that your little one at the end is PRICELESS! What a cutie 🙂
Kale chips are so good! We usually season with Old Bay and it’s yummy:)
I’ve been wanting to try these! Now that I see how easy they are to make, I’m going to give it a shot. Thank you!!
Great post about what to do with kale when it comes as a decoration! In fact the tag line for my blog http://www.365DaysofKale.com is “Where kale is more than decoration on my plate”. I should add ‘box’, ‘vase’, ‘salad bar’, etc, etc! I hope you stop by some time. 🙂
I JUST bought some kale yesterday. I LOVE kale chips. It amazes me how much some stores sell them for. I bought a bunch of Kale at the Farmers market for $1. They were selling dried kale chips at a local store for $7.99 for a small package. Crazy!
JP bought me long stem carrot for Valentines day! Loved them! I do enjoy kale in my smoothies- not a huge fan of kale chips. Wish I was though!
This looks yummy! Thank you!
I tried these and love them…
Just made these – yum!
Thanks for sharing! I definitely want to try it but one question: when you make the chips do you store them?
I have yet to have leftovers, but if I would just store them in glass bowl with lid if so 🙂
These are amazing. There are so many things you can add on top too! My kids love a little parmesan on top too

I’ll have to make these for my youngest. My son won’t touch anything green but I bet my daughter would love these!
