Hi, I’m Amanda! Here on The Eco-Friendly Family I discuss my life alongside topics that are important to me and my family, like getting fit, composting, cloth diapers, safe products, and tips on reducing chemical exposure to name a few. I like to approach green living from a practical, modern perspective. Living a healthy life is something that is important to everyone and for me that’s what it’s all about.
Part of changing your lifestyle is about trying new things that will replace old habits. Maybe making your own cleaners or detergents or choosing to use reusable products to replace disposables. I find that many people think of living ‘green’ as something that requires sacrifice but it’s quite the opposite! Choosing a lifestyle change requires a little bit of relearning, but choosing products and foods that help you live a healthier life is rewarding physically, mentally, financially and globally – your choices make a huge impact!
I have always enjoyed teaching, sharing and writing, so when I stumbled into blogging it felt right and natural. I am a stay-at-home mother of three fantastic children and wife to an awesome husband. They are my biggest inspiration to keep learning and exploring all that natural and healthy living has to offer. I hope that you can learn and grow from our experiences, and I hope to learn from yours as well.

Thank you for visiting. If you have any questions about me, the blog, green living, product promotion or anything else, please feel free to contact me. I love hearing from my readers, and I love hearing from companies and organizations that share my desire to help people live a sustainable, healthy life.
Best wishes, from my family to yours,
Amanda
Are you a company or organization interested in working together?
I am happy to consider advocacy campaigns, reviews, ads and sponsorship (including those for various conferences and events). Any such partnership must be relevant to my blog and it’s readers. I do not accept unsolicited guests posts. Honesty and relevance is important to me, as it is my readers. I do use affiliate links to help cover the expenses associated with running the blog, but am not currently open to new programs.

Hey! I just noticed your WTAP icon. It caught my eye since I grew up watching it. I don't know if you are a MOVer or not, but it's fun to see a great blog featured in my hometown.
Hi Amanda. I just started following your blog. It is so interesting. I put your badge on my blog, if you want to check it out. Take care.
Hi Amanda!! I have just recently started “green” blogging and really admire your site!! It’s very similar to the direction I want to go! Any advice for a new mother and blogger?
Hi Amanda!
I’m thinking about using cloth diapers for my baby. I just have some questions and concerns..for example, what happens when the baby soils the cloth diaper when you’re out in public, do you then carry around that soiled diaper for the rest of the day? Please let me know what you do.
I’m really interested in learning more. Thanks for the advice!
